Professor Lou Ferrer, Sr., Soke

Grand Master Lou Ferrer, Sr., founded the US Kodokan Federation Society of Black Belts U.S.A and Ferrer's Jujitsu USA Aikijitsu-te, Inabikari-Ryu Jujitsu, Judo, Karate, Arnis the Art of Self-Defense USA, and Ferrer’s  Defensive System (FDS).

Professor Lou Ferrer Sr., was born on July 9,1951 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He is the proud father of five (5) daugthers and one (1) son. He has thirteen (13) grandchildren. He graduated from Gardena High School, Gardena California. He attended Long Beach College in California. He served in the United States Navy from 1972 to 1974 receiving his Honorary Discharge.

Professor Lou Ferrer Sr., trained under so many high ranking black belts in so many different styles in the Martial Arts. Professor Lou Ferrer Sr., trained under his teacher Professor Angelo L. Albergo, Soke in the Algo InabikariRyu, Jujistsu, Judo, Karate, Arnis, the Art of Self-Defense, USA. He received his Certificatie in White, Yellow, Blue, Green, Purple and Brown. He was tested for his Shodan, Nidan, Sandan, Yodan, Godan, Shichidan,Hachidan and Kudan.

Professor Lou Ferrer Sr., appeared in many newspapers articles and black belt magazines, through the years he has received many trophies and awards. He was inducted into the Black Belt Hall of Fame and has completed in various tournaments, competing in Kumite, Weapons, and Self-Defense.

On July 11, 2009 at West Brooklyn Community High School in Brooklyn, New York on 42nd Street and Ft. Hamilton Parkway, a ceremony was held changing of ranks, students, black belts, parents, friends, black belts from different schools and organization from Sifu, Shihan, Sensei and Masters to witness this special occasion when Professor Angelo L. Albergo, known as Supreme Grand Master, presented him with 10th degree and a title of Supreme Grandmaster.
